Rajasthan is the largest state of the Republic of India by area. It encompasses most of the area of the large, inhospitable Great Indian Desert (Thar Desert), which has an edge paralleling the Sutlej-Indus river valley along its border with Pakistan. The state is bordered by Pakistan to the west, Gujarat to the southwest, Madhya Pradesh to the southeast, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana to the northeast and Punjab to the north.
Jaipur is the capital and the largest city of the state. Geographical features include the Thar Desert along north-western Rajasthan and the termination of the Ghaggar River near the archaeological ruins at Kalibanga of the Indus Valley Civilization, which are the oldest in the Indian subcontinent discovered so far. One of the world's oldest mountain ranges, the Aravalli Range, cradles the only hill station of Rajasthan, Mount Abu, famous for Dilwara Temples, a sacred pilgrimage for Jains.
Rajasthan is often called a shopper's paradise. Rajasthan is famous for textiles, semi-precious stones and handicrafts. The attractive designs of jewellery and clothes are eye-catching and invite shoppers. Rajasthani furniture has intricate carvings and bright colours. Rajasthani handicrafts are in demand due to the intricate work on them. Above all, Rajasthan's shopping appeals to both tourists and people from other parts of India due to its cheap prices for quality goods.Bikaner is famous for its namkeens, Jaipur for its jewellery, Jodhpur for sweets and Jaisalmer for yellow stone, wall paintings of bundi.
Detailed Itinerary :
Day 1: Arrival at Agra – Jaipur
On arriving at Agra Railway Station /Bus Stand, get welcomed by our tour representative and get transferred to Jaipur. On getting there, get checked into your pre-booked hotel and spend overnight there.
Day 2: Jaipur
In the morning, take your breakfast and leave for the sightseeing tour of Jaipur. Visit Hawa Mahal museums, Johari Bazaar, City Palace, Govind Deoji Temple, Jantar Mantar, Ancient Observatory. After this, get back to your hotel to stay all the night long.
Day 3: Jaipur Sightseeing
In the morning, set out for visiting Nahargarh Fort, Jaigarh Fort, Monkey Temple, Water Palace. After this, purchase Rajasthani Traditional Items from the Local Market. In the evening, relish your dinner at the Rajasthani traditional resort with the enjoyment of dance and folk music. Return to your hotel to spend overnight.
Day 4: Jaipur – Pushkar
In the morning, take your breakfast and get started driving to Pushkar. Stay in Ajmer to visit Ajmer Sharif Dargah. On reaching Pushkar town, visit Pushkar Lake and take enjoyment of the scenic beauty of Pushkar at Pushkar Market. After that, visit sacred lakes of Pushkar, Savitri Temple and shopping in Pushkar Town. After this, get transferred to your pre-booked hotel and get checked into it. Have your dinner and stay at the hotel all the night long.
Day 5: Pushkar – Udaipur
Early in the morning, take your breakfast and leave for the journey towards Udaipur. On getting there, get checked into your pre-booked hotel and take your lunch. In the evening, visit Fatehsagar Lake and Local Market. In the evening, take a traditional Marwar Dinner. Return to your hotel to spend overnight.
Day 6: Udaipur
After taking your breakfast, set out for the sightseeing tour of Udaipur City. Visit Sahelion-Ki-Bari, Jagdish Temple, City Palace, Garden, Lake Pichola, Maharana. After the entire day sightseeing tour, get back to your hotel to stay all the night long.
Day 7: Udaipur – Mount Abu
Early in the morning, take your breakfast and get started travelling towards Mount Abu. On reaching there, visit the Mount Abu Lake, Guru Shikhar, Sunset Point.
